Can't wait for this. As tactical as gloomhaven can be. Im kind of sick of it. And the negative modifiers in the deck have gotten annoying. Usually i play these games solo so ill glady take something more simple with cool powers to unlock. Honestly my favorit tactial crawler is nova aetas renaissance.

Sounds like something I should watch for one of my "in-betweeners" (I usually watch more relaxed shows, often with a romance or comedy angle, as after completing seasons of shows with darker themes)

Does not sound good. Really hoped this would be the next big thing, but maybe the summary of it all makes the cake.

Very excited for this to arrive and get tabled, I thought Unconscious Mind would be the best looking game I get this year art wise but the more I see of this the more I love the look and aesthetic throughout. I have some games with really complex rules for fighting (ATO, KDM etc) so something a little paired back will be great, I also like the two different phases to the game so it's not constant fighting.

This game is completely out of content. They have mix Chinese, Korea, Japan culture and they have add and a ridiculous name because is very popular and serve this as a Japanese culture game. lol This guys have zero knowledge about Japanese folklore, culture and gods pantheon.

I was so excited for this game but haven't played it since buying months ago. Still very tempted to back for the upgrade stuff 😬

I think you did yourself in with the infiltration action. it says you can add successes to your roll. so you should have rolled first, then spent money.

Thanks to Tom ranking Dual of Ages as one of his favorite narrative games I started looking into it. Now, based on your recommendation I grabbed a copy of Worldspanner. I hope that you give the game some more coverage as it really is a unique game that deserves more love.

all 4 of them are pretty good in their own right. some of the rules could be a lot clearer, but once learned, the games are fun. MLP - not big on the IP, but it has some pretty neat ideas to it. love playing with my nieces and I've probably played it solo more than any of them. Gi Joe - dice are your enemy here, I absolutely suck at rolling these dice lol (hence my "my rolls are trash" raccoon trash panda hoodie). love the mechanics, and the mission system. addition of Raise the FLAGG was really cool. Transformers - my all time favorite IP of the 80s, huge nostalgia factor. (so is gi joe and power rangers). love it. I wish I could get a bunch of people to play with me for the various other modes. Power Rangers - sucks that the solo mode is exclusive to a storage box. Mechanics are interesting, being attacked by the opposition is cool and gives a lot more pondering of your actions. I was hugely into the series in the 90s. Promos - It makes me angry that I'm missing content. I'm a completionist, I need it all. and I'm not talking about the cosmetic upgrades (most of the stuff for power rangers and MLP are cosmetics), those I can live without. its the additional characters from transformers, gi joe, and power rangers are where I'm mad. and it is a shipping nightmare to get these shipped from the USA.

I prefer 3rd to 2nd. 3rd is like cross between LCG and 2nd ed. Monsters damage is tracked in 3rd ed, which i really prefer over 2nd ed. Also, 2ed travelling around felt very constrained by mobs. 3rd ed’s way of getting clues is better than 2nd ed. 2nd ed you,just pick them up. Here each clue encounter is different as it’s tied to each location, so much more varied and thematic. I play 3rd solo with 3 characters and have a blast each time.

That's some quality playthrough right there! Just received my Gamefound version of this game 1-2 months ago and we've played the new introductory campaign to learn the game. We will play our first proper scenario soon.

Thank you, but - you missed the latest expansion that came out just two weeks ago (more or less) for Transformers DBG

I tried the Transformers DBG first as I liked the IP more then the rest... but man the game fell so flat for me. Played ok (aside from the typical terrible rulebook) but I didn't feel the theme come through at all. I feel like you could have slapped any theme on this game and it would essentially always be the same experience. I didn't feel like I was playing a Transformers game at all, more like a card game with Transforms pictures on it. Sold it after like 2 sessions. Then I bought the GI JOE game after being intrigued by some gameplay videos. Man the game is 1000% better! I actually loved it so much I ended up buying every expansion and have over 30+ games logged. And I wasn't even a fan of the IP going in but it got me into the comics and the cartoon and toy collecting so I really am happy I got the game. Probably my favorite game of the last 6mo.

I want to love GI Joe (I only have the base), but it is SO random and hard. It's so frustrating. I am not sure how to mitigate some of this difficulty. I am pretty reluctant to bring it back to the table.

Yo Joe! for me. Once I learned to treat expansions as story arcs and not be tempted to just mix it all in, It really grew on me. Just need a good storage solution for it all. I'm not a huge fan of all the cardboard bits they attempt to add on and I usually find a way to represent that stuff w/out them.

Thanks for these videos, I've learnt Mage Knight from watching you play and am checking my interpretation with this one. Quick tip, you can move the torch down one space at the start and reveal four rooms, check the torch mat, SW corner.

In 13:00 the card says at the end of the turn, so u shouldnt be able to deal 3 dmg to joker that turn. Its a lot of texts everywhere so mistakes happen, but still great video im lovin it and definitely will be backing this. Thank you for the preview.

great playthrough, but having gotten it yesterday and started playing, I must wonder if you might be colourblind. I say this because the colour cubes for the enemies should match the colour printed on the card (so you know which one is each)

Hello! I completely understand the aspects and what is a pro and a con. For me the only con is the worst insert i ever have seen. I love the mechanics, the story, the epicness. Specially i understand, why people have problems with such a long game time. I am in the lucky situation, that i can leave the game on the table and continue the next day. One information: in one update (i believe its the one, where they introduced the story mode), diemension games hints that they work on a save system. So the long game time will be less problematic.... Greetings from germany (and sorry for my bad english, i understand better than i write :D )

Rules seem a bit confusing. I’ve watched other reviewers cover this game and even they said sometimes they couldn’t understand what’s going on and iconography didn’t really mesh well. I think I’ll wait for the second backing on this one, and yes they are doing another one for this game which was confirmed by them because they’re adding more but in the way future.

Will there be a dc vs marvel United differences video ?

I want this game but think I'll wait for the inevitable second printing. Can already see some issues and improvements they can make (better writing on cards to make it easier to know what you're supposed to do and when , have a colored outline around each territory to know what the boundaries are to be able to tell how many enemies are there, maybe some more event cards as I assume after 20 plus scenarios youre definitely going to see lots of repeating events, no way I would remember which characters did or didn't defeat an enemy etc).
